More cattle markets close because of east coast fever.
Currently the livestock prices are high because there is a new quarantine on the northern route especially Luwero district in the famous cattle market of Ngoma area. Reports from the western region indicate that some markets were temporarily opened during the festive season however they have been re-closed in the districts of: Rakai, Sembabule and Mbarara. At this time of the year business in the City Abattoir is low mainly due to low demand. Prices are high because of low supply.
